These lovely art works have been done by Year 1 students. We discussed and looked at silhouettes. Once we had practiced drawing a butterfly we began with the background. This was done with a marbling kit- this is where inks are dropped gently onto the water surface and paper is then placed on top of the water.
We penciled our designs onto the backgrounds once they were dry and then used vivid ink pens to complete the piece.
