Year 1 students learnt how to draw a cat in their sketch books and then we transferred this knowledge onto newspaper. They needed to draw each part of the cat, in pencil, onto the newspaper. Firstly we started with the round shape of the face and glued that onto coloured paper. Then we added ears and a body. The eyes were drawn and coloured in on white paper and attached to the face. Whiskers were cut out from strips of paper and glued into place. Lastly they drew a collar using black vivid.
