Trees

Before watercolour paint or
detail was added

The inspiration for these trees was taken from the lovely selection we have around our school.
The Year 6 students sketched a variety of trees, looking carefully at how the branches overlapped.
Once they were happy with their sketch, they re drew the trunk outline onto phone book paper.  They found it quite difficult and for some, time consuming cutting these out.
Leaves were then practiced and added to the tree.  Students used watercolour paints to fill in the leaves.
Everything was detailed with black thin pens.

This is a simple but effective artwork.
