I do a lot of before and after sketches with the children, so they can reflect on what they have learnt.  Here are 2 examples of a Year 1 (5 years old) child showing how he saw himself before and then after instruction.

I used the sketch from their sketch books and enlarged them to A3.  We outlined the pencil in black.  We then had several sessions looking at skin colours and coverage.
Finally I added painted table tennis balls to their lips to look as if they were blowing bubbles.
