Warm and Cool Landscapes
Year 1 students discussed and practiced different types of lines - soft, sharp, round, curved.  We tried these on our whiteboards first so that the children were confident.  We then moved into our sketching books.

The students were told to use the lines they had practiced in their books to make a sun, mountains and hills.
We then covered the pencil lines with PVA black glue and allowed to dry. In  the next session we discussed warm and cool colours - they had to decide if the sky was going to be warm or the landscape.
