Year 2 children worked on sketching and shading spheres. We used chalk pastels and talked about where the light source (moon) would be. They cut out these spheres and glued them onto black paper. A rocket was drawn and outlined, then I took a digital photo of each of them. This was glued into a cut out slot in their rocket. The children decided where they wanted these placed. Once everything was glued on they added stars and flames.
